Johnsons Lawn Seed’s Meadow in a Tray unveiled
Stand 11A61-B60

Unveiled yesterday during the first day of Glee 2025, Johnsons Lawn Seed’s latest innovation, Meadow in a Tray, has already generated a superb response from visitors.

This first-of-its-kind product offers retailers and consumers a ready-to-plant wildflower solution that combines ease of use with instant impact, making it one of the most talked-about launches of the show so far.

Each tray contains 104 wildflower plug plants across eight carefully chosen UK native species, including Bird’s-foot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Black Medick, Cowslip, Lady’s Bedstraw, Oxeye Daisy, Red Campion and Selfheal. Designed to establish quickly and flourish with minimal effort, Meadow in a Tray allows gardeners to transform borders, edges and meadows into vibrant, pollinator-friendly habitats without the need to sow seed.

Building on its decades-long expertise in wildflower production, Johnsons Lawn Seed has already delivered proven success with much-loved wildflower products such as Nature’s Lawn, Celebration Tins and Country Meadow. Meadow in a Tray represents a bold new step, meeting growing consumer demand for simple and effective ways to boost biodiversity.

Guy Jenkins, Consumer Manager at Johnsons Lawn Seed, commented: “The response at Glee has been fantastic. We identified a gap in the market for wildflower plug plants, and Meadow in a Tray is clearly resonating with retailers and buyers. It offers a choice for consumers who want a straightforward, low-effort way to establish wildflowers with maximum impact. Every little helps when it comes to supporting pollinators, and this product makes it easier than ever.”

With higher success rates than seed, reliable distribution of plants, and a season-long display of blooms, Meadow in a Tray is already standing out as one of the highlights of this year’s show.

Garden centre buyers and retailers can see Meadow in a Tray in action at Glee 2025, Hall 11, Stand A61–B60, or visit www.johnsonslawnseed.com for more information regarding the existing product portfolio.
