For buyers across garden, home and gift, it presents a unique opportunity to source across categories, discover new suppliers and tap into a broader retail landscape all in one visit.

Feature areas including all-new Food Hall and Food & Beverage, plus Fire, Grill and Chill spotlight key growth areas, while the What’s On programme delivers practical insight into trends, consumer behaviour and future retail opportunities.
Jeyes returns to Glee where it will offer retailers a first look at plans for its milestone 150th anniversary in 2027.

</nw:synopsis>
<nw:body>
Established suppliers are heading back to the Glee show floor with broader ranges, new commercial models and renewed ambition for the garden retail market.

The return of a familiar name to an exhibition can easily be treated as little more than a line on a floorplan. Look a little closer, however, and the reasons behind that return often reveal much more about the direction of a business and its confidence in the market it serves.

At Glee 2026, a growing group of established suppliers is returning to the show after time away. Their stories are different, but common themes quickly emerge: investment, evolution and a desire to reconnect with garden retail at a moment when products, purchasing models and consumer expectations are all changing.

Among those coming back are Lava Lite, Scheurich, Burton McCall and Jeyes. Together, they span plant and lawn care, pots and planters, cutting tools and outdoor cleaning. Some last exhibited only two years ago, while Jeyes is making its first appearance at Glee for a decade. What unites them is that none is returning with the same proposition it brought before.

More than a return for Lava Lite

For Lava Lite, which last exhibited in 2024, the decision follows a period of significant brand and range development. Its horticulture and pet care offer has become stronger and more focused, with greater investment in sustainability, education and clear in-store communication.

“Coming back in 2026 feels like the natural next step for us,” said Kieron Tompkin, Co-Founder of Lava Lite. “The brand has grown, our range has matured, and Glee is still the place where meaningful retail relationships begin. It is the show where people come ready to discover something new.”

The company will bring Aqua Nuggets, Grass Guard Plus, No Gnats and its wider plant care portfolio to the show, alongside developments focused on soil health, pet-safe lawn care and water clarity.

Yet its return is about more than introducing products. Lava Lite is placing increased emphasis on merchandising, education and sell-through support, reflecting the pressure on retailers to make every fixture work harder and ensure new ideas can be understood quickly by customers.

A fresh UK start for Scheurich

Scheurich’s story is different again. The German family brand has exhibited at Glee previously as part of its wider UK presence, but its 2026 appearance will be the first under a revamped direct-factory supply model introduced in April.

For retailers, the changes include 10-working-day lead times from the company’s Kleinheubach factory, carriage-paid ordering from £500, flexible RRPs and pre-priced pots. Scheurich has also refreshed its packaging, point-of-sale materials and catalogue, while broadening its offer beyond its waterproof ceramics to include indoor and outdoor plastics, premium wicker and watering accessories.

“It is less a return and more a fresh start,” explained Sam Bentham, UK Sales Manager at Scheurich UK. “Glee is the natural place to reintroduce a near 100-year-old family brand to UK buyers on our own terms, with a fresh look to go with the fresh start.”

That fresh start will be hard to miss. Scheurich is planning a large stand, around 200 new SKUs and the launch of its 2027 catalogue.

Highlights will include the artisan styling of Rustica, the deep ombre colours of Avora and new matt colourways for the best-selling Monaco family, all backed by the brand’s 100% waterproof guarantee.

Premium tools back on the show floor

Burton McCall also last exhibited in 2024, when it showcased FELCO and introduced Swiss tool brand ALPEN. Since then, FELCO has continued to build on its reputation for precision, durability, repairability and ergonomic design, while ALPEN has expanded its UK presence and product breadth.

Glee visitors will be able to explore FELCO’s established range of secateurs, pruning tools and accessories alongside ALPEN’s growing portfolio of saws, loppers, hedge shears and manual and battery-powered pruning equipment, including electric pruning shears.

“What stood out most in 2024 was the quality of the conversations with buyers and retailers who were actively looking for innovative, premium products to strengthen their gardening categories,” said Mohamed Hajat, Director of Sales at Burton McCall Ltd. “We want visitors to experience first-hand the quality and innovation behind both brands and understand how premium, long-lasting tools can add value to their offer.”

That emphasis on longevity and demonstrable product performance is timely. As consumers scrutinise value more carefully, premium products increasingly need a clear explanation of why they deserve their place on the shelf. The opportunity to handle, compare and discuss tools in person remains one of the exhibition environment’s greatest strengths.

A heritage name looks to its next chapter

Perhaps the most striking return comes from Jeyes, which last exhibited at Glee in 2016. Since ECS acquired the brand at the end of 2024, it has invested in expanding and revitalising the range while preparing for Jeyes’ 150th anniversary in 2027.

The portfolio now contains more than 20 SKUs, making it the brand’s most comprehensive outdoor cleaning offer for many years. The iconic Jeyes Classic sits alongside ready-to-use formats and specialist solutions designed around the needs of today’s consumers.

“Returning to Glee is the perfect opportunity to share that journey with retailers,” said Farah ElZoheiry from Jeyes. “We want to demonstrate how we are investing in the future of the UK’s oldest outdoor disinfectant brand and how we can help retailers grow sales in the outdoor cleaning category.”

As well as presenting the expanded range and new product developments, Jeyes will use Glee to offer retailers a first look at plans for its milestone anniversary. These will include promotional activity, competitions, marketing support and in-store opportunities planned throughout 2027.

Why the show floor still matters

Across all four businesses, relationship-building sits at the heart of the decision to return.

Lava Lite wants to deepen retailer partnerships and introduce its offer to new buyers. Scheurich is rebuilding direct UK relationships with independents, agents and buying groups. Burton McCall is focused on strengthening existing accounts while widening distribution for FELCO and ALPEN. Jeyes is reconnecting with the garden centres that have known the brand for generations, while introducing its revitalised offer to new customers.

Their plans also demonstrate why a trade show remains particularly valuable for products that benefit from explanation, demonstration or tactile appeal. Waterproof ceramics, pruning tools, treatment products and category-wide cleaning ranges all become easier to understand when buyers can see the full offer, speak directly to the people behind it and explore how it might work in their own retail environment.

As Sam Bentham put it: “It is still the one place in the UK calendar where the whole trade - buyers, agents and press, is in the same room. For a brand doing what we are doing this year, there is no substitute.”

Returning exhibitors are not simply revisiting old ground. They are coming back with changed businesses, stronger propositions and clear commercial ambitions. For retailers walking Glee 2026, these familiar names may therefore provide some of the show’s freshest stories.

The New Product Awards, in association with Garden Trade News, give all Glee exhibitors the chance to win an industry renowned award for showcasing the most innovative new products in garden retail.

All products entered into the New Product Awards can be displayed in the New Product Showcase area at the show.

As one of Glee’s most popular features, the New Product Showcase gives exhibitors the platform to launch brand-new developments and unique products at Glee. It’s a designated area of the show where visitors can discover the latest and greatest new products on the market all in one place.

There’s 15 product categories to be part of, so whether you sell garden tools or pet products, it’s time to get involved.

How to get involved

All confirmed exhibitors can enter their products into the New Product Awards via the E-zone. Entrants are then required bring their products to the New Product Showcase a day before the show for the display to be set up and for the judges to decide on the shortlist.

The top 3 shortlisted entrants in each award category can then pitch their products to the judges live at Glee. Winners are voted by a panel of industry experts based on criteria such as innovation, design, promotion and saleability.

The final pitches to take place on Tuesday 8 September at the New Product Showcase as follows:

In addition to the main award categories, there are 3 extra awards which all contenders in the New Product Awards are eligible to win.

These are:

Sustainability Award

Best of British Award

Best Overall New Product at Glee

These 3 awards are not categories which can be entered. Instead, the judges decide a winner for each one based on the products who have made it to the final shortlist of the New Product Awards.

This strategic move by two industry-leading trade exhibitions unlocks multiple benefits for their respective sectors, creating a stronger, future-proofed platform that supports the long-term retail growth and successes of the industries they represent. Driven by industry feedback, extensive research, and considered planning to streamline the buying calendar the co-location will deliver new opportunities, maximise return on investment and enhance the experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

Glee, the premier event for the garden retail sector, will continue to run as a dedicated three-day showcase for the garden, leisure, and pet industries.

Enhancing return on investment for all participants, the co-location delivers cost and time efficiencies, providing strong insight into broader consumer trends that are driving growth opportunities for both audiences.

As food and hospitality continue to reshape the future of modern garden retail, Glee 2026 has announced a major evolution of its food offering with the introduction of two brand-new dedicated sectors for 2026 – Food Hall and Food & Beverage.

Taking place from 8th – 10th September 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, the UK’s leading garden retail trade exhibition is responding directly to the changing commercial landscape of the industry, recognising that food is no longer simply an additional category within garden retail. Instead, it is now one of its most significant growth drivers.

The move comes at a time when food and hospitality are becoming increasingly central to the success of modern garden retail businesses. According to the HTA, catering is now the second-largest category by turnover within UK garden centres, accounting for an average of 17% of total turnover across the sector between 2022 and 2024, with some leading operators reporting figures as high as 30%.

This growth shows little sign of slowing. Recent HTA market insight revealed that cafés, restaurants, catering and food retail within garden centres increased turnover by 15% year-on-year, whilst garden centre cafés and restaurants are now estimated to attract around 148 million visits annually across the UK.

The Garden Centre Association has also consistently highlighted the important role that cafés, restaurants and food retail now play in driving footfall, increasing dwell time and supporting commercial resilience, particularly during periods when weather conditions impact traditional gardening sales.

Recognising the scale and diversity of these opportunities, Glee has evolved its food proposition for 2026 with the creation of two standalone sectors that better reflect the distinct needs of buyers, suppliers and operators working across both speciality retail and hospitality operations.

Introducing Food Hall

Designed to celebrate the growing influence of premium food and drink within garden retail, Food Hall will bring together brands and producers across 11 specialist sub-categories, including chocolate and confectionery, hot drinks, snacks, wine, beer and spirits, artisanal foods, soft drinks, fresh produce, frozen food solutions, and condiments, oils and preserves.

The new destination acknowledges the increasingly important role that food halls, farm shop-style retailing and premium gifting now play within modern garden centres, many of which are evolving into full lifestyle destinations rather than purely horticultural retail environments. Positioned at a crucial point in the retail buying calendar, Food Hall will provide buyers with the opportunity to source new products, discover emerging brands and finalise seasonal ranges ahead of the important autumn and Christmas trading period.

Exhibitors already confirmed within Food Hall include Beanworks Coffee Roasters, Datekins, Birchall Tea, Farmhouse Biscuits, Easy Joe Coffee Roasters, Blue Cap Coffee and Smoked Bishop.

Food & Beverage – supporting the hospitality boom

Alongside Food Hall, Glee 2026 will also debut a dedicated Food & Beverage sector focused specifically on the operational and hospitality side of garden retail.

As hospitality becomes increasingly central to the success of many garden retail businesses, retailers are actively seeking specialist suppliers capable of supporting everything from new café concepts and kitchen refurbishments through to drinks solutions and customer experience enhancements. The new Food & Beverage sector – which will cover seven specialist sub-categories – Catering Equipment & Suppliers, Café & Restaurant Design, Catering Services, Cooking & Dining, Kitchen Equipment, Drinks Equipment and Catering Vendors - will place these suppliers directly in front of owner-operators, catering managers, hospitality teams and buying groups actively investing in future growth.

Europe’s biggest buying moment

The launch of the two new sectors also comes as Glee 2026 prepares to co-locate once again with Autumn Fair 2026 on 8th and 9th September, together creating what is set to become Europe’s biggest buying moment for the second half of the retail calendar.

By bringing together buyers from garden retail, home, gift, lifestyle, food and hospitality under one roof, the co-location creates unrivalled commercial opportunities for exhibitors whilst enabling retailers to source across multiple complementary categories within a single visit.

For brands operating within food, drink and hospitality, the combined audience represents a particularly compelling opportunity, extending reach beyond traditional garden retail into wider destination retail, gifting and lifestyle sectors.

A show floor shaped by the changing market

Matthew Mein, Event Director for Glee 2026 and Autumn Fair said: “The way garden retailers approach food and hospitality has changed dramatically in recent years. What was once considered an added extra has become a major commercial driver for many businesses, influencing everything from footfall and dwell time through to customer loyalty and overall revenue. At the same time, these categories have become far more sophisticated and diverse. Retailers are not only expanding speciality food and drink ranges; they are also investing heavily into cafés, restaurants and wider hospitality experiences that rival premium lifestyle destinations and farm shops.

“That shift is exactly why we’ve evolved the offering at Glee for 2026. By introducing dedicated Food Hall and Food & Beverage sectors, we’re creating clearer destinations that better reflect how buyers source products, services and solutions for very different parts of their businesses. It also allows us to curate a much stronger experience for both exhibitors and visitors. Buyers will be able to navigate the sectors far more intuitively, discover specialist suppliers more easily and explore opportunities tailored specifically to their commercial objectives. When combined with the co-location alongside Autumn Fair, it creates an incredibly powerful buying environment that brings together the worlds of garden retail, hospitality, home, gift and lifestyle at exactly the right point in the buying calendar.”

Take your place at the table

If you would like to be part of the new Food Hall or Food & Beverage sectors at Glee 2026, visit www.gleebirmingham.com or call +44 (0)203 3545 9752 to book your stand.

Visitor registration is also now officially open, giving buyers the opportunity to secure their free ticket to what promises to be Europe’s biggest buying moment for the second half of the retail year. Register today and start planning your visit.

Headline keynote speakers, more than 20 expert-led seminars, two dedicated content stages and the return of the Glee New Products Showcase make Glee 2026 one of the industry's most valuable destinations for business insight as well as buying.

Visitors to Glee 2026 can now start planning their visit, with organisers unveiling a packed three-day content programme spanning Centre Stage and the Feed Your Business Stage. Taking place from 8th-10th September at the NEC Birmingham, the agenda has been carefully curated to tackle the biggest commercial opportunities and challenges facing modern garden retail.

Alongside Europe's biggest buying moment – which sees Glee co-locate with Autumn Fair for two days – visitors can also look forward to the return of the hugely popular Glee New Products Showcase, providing an exclusive first look at the latest launches, breakthrough innovations and retail solutions set to shape the seasons ahead.

Together, the seminar programme and New Products Showcase reinforce Glee's position as far more than a trade exhibition, offering buyers the opportunity to source new products, discover emerging trends, hear from industry leaders and take away practical ideas to help their businesses thrive.

Business insight for every retailer

Built around themes including market insight, leadership, people, productivity, sustainability, customer engagement, food and hospitality, and innovation, the programme ensures every visitor can tailor their experience to the areas most relevant to their business.

Centre Stage will welcome many of the industry's biggest names, including an exclusive keynote interview with David Robinson, CEO of Dobbies Garden Centres, who will discuss leading one of the UK's best-known garden centre businesses through a period of transformation, sharing his thoughts on leadership, customer expectations, investment and the future of the sector.

People also remain firmly on the agenda. In 'People, Pay and Perception: Fixing the Talent Challenge in Garden Retail', Guy Moreton, Managing Director of MorePeople, will explore one of the industry's most pressing issues, examining how businesses can attract, develop and retain talented people whilst changing perceptions of careers within garden retail.

The programme begins with Laura Loveridge and Harry Redman from the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), who will present 'The State of Garden Retail: What the Data Is Really Telling Us',providing exclusive insight into the latest consumer trends, market performance and opportunities shaping the industry. Retail productivity also comes under the spotlight as Vanessa Cranford, Phil Wright and Josh Novell of Polhill Garden Centre demonstrate how better use of business data can improve operational efficiency and profitability, while Michael Perry (Mr Plant Geek) returns with his ever-popular Future Plants Walking Tour across all three days.

Wednesday sees Sam Dickson, Managing Director of Squire's Garden Centres, reflect on his first year leading the business, alongside practical discussions around smarter water management featuring Wave and the National Trust. Whilst, on Thursday, James Shorey from Planet Mark joins George Hillier to explore how Hillier is successfully combining lower carbon with lower costs, before Floral Thursday rounds off the programme with fundraising and celebrations in support of the Greenfingers Charity.

Spotlight on food and hospitality

Reflecting the growing importance of hospitality within modern garden centres, the dedicated Feed Your Business Stage returns with practical sessions designed to help operators maximise the commercial potential of their catering and food retail operations.

Sessions will cover topics including coffee trends, menu engineering, restaurant design, food safety, staffing, customer experience and creating food propositions that drive footfall, loyalty and profitability. Supporting Glee's expanded Food Hall and Food & Beverage sectors, the stage provides specialist insight for businesses looking to grow one of garden retail's fastest-expanding revenue streams.

More than a buying event

From discovering tomorrow's bestselling products within the Glee New Products Showcase to hearing from the industry's leading retailers, researchers and innovators, Glee 2026 combines buying with business learning like no other event in the sector.

Across home, gift, fashion and garden retail, businesses are increasingly recognising that success isn't driven by product alone. Buyers are arriving at trade shows looking not only for the next bestselling products, but also for the expertise, technology and services that will help them sell those products more effectively.

That shift is reflected in one of the fastest-growing areas across both Autumn Fair and Glee 2026. Whilst the sectors carry different names - Retail Solutions at Autumn Fair and Retail Experiences & Services at Glee - both are expanding in response to growing demand for specialist expertise, AI-powered innovation, operational support and technologies that help retailers work smarter, improve customer experiences and drive long-term profitability.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham this September, Autumn Fair (6th - 9th September) and Glee (8th - 10th September) will together welcome more than 1,250 exhibitors, showcase over 500,000 products and attract more than 20,000 retail buyers, creating Europe's largest buying event for home, gift, fashion and garden retail.

Different names. One shared ambition

Although Retail Solutions and Retail Experiences & Services have been developed for different audiences, they share the same purpose: helping retailers build stronger, more resilient businesses.

Whether serving high streets, shopping destinations or modern garden centres, today's retailers face many of the same challenges. Rising operating costs, changing customer expectations and rapid advances in technology are driving investment in smarter ways of working, with businesses increasingly looking beyond the products they sell to the systems and expertise that support commercial success.

Claire Gatenby, Co-Founder of Squashed Pixel, said: "Retail has never been more connected. Customers don't distinguish between online and offline anymore; they simply expect every interaction to feel effortless. The retailers seeing the strongest growth are those investing in technology that removes friction, empowers staff and creates one consistent customer experience across every channel."

Technology may be one of the fastest-moving areas of retail, but exhibitors across both shows agree that its role is not to replace great retailing - it's to give retailers better information, better insight and more time to focus on the customer.

The business of better retail

Far from being a single category, Retail Solutions and Retail Experiences & Services encompass almost every aspect of modern retail operations. Across both shows, visitors will discover expertise spanning AI-powered merchandising and analytics, EPOS and retail systems, ecommerce, payment technology, business banking, logistics, workforce management, visual merchandising, retail displays, store design, packaging, property consultancy, security, utilities and specialist operational services.

Whether retailers are looking to modernise their stores, improve inventory management, optimise layouts, streamline customer journeys or identify new revenue opportunities, both sectors bring together practical expertise, innovative technologies and experienced partners under one roof. Together, they reflect a growing shift towards joined-up business solutions that combine technology, operational excellence and customer experience to help retailers build stronger, more resilient businesses.

Reflecting that breadth, Autumn Fair exhibitors include Barclays, Datascan, DOJO, Aspin, Fast Forwarding, Paperspot, Emartbuy and Squashed Pixel, whilst Glee's Retail Experiences & Services sector features businesses including Arrange Spaces, Chirp Protect, Christie & Co, CSY Retail Systems, Easitill, Malcolm Scott Consultants, National Business Water, PCCS UK, Planday, Pleydell Smithyman, Stagecraft Display and ElectRoad.

Garden retail reflects the wider trend

The evolution towards destination retail is being seen across the retail landscape, but few sectors illustrate it more clearly than garden retail.

Today's garden centres are no longer simply places to buy plants. Restaurants, cafés, food halls, concessions, events and leisure attractions have become increasingly important in encouraging customers to stay longer, visit more often and spend more, whilst operators continue looking for ways to maximise every square metre of retail space.

Andrew Burton, Director at Pleydell Smithyman, said: "Customers are becoming increasingly selective about where they spend their time and money. They're looking for memorable experiences, not simply places to shop.

"Often the answer isn't building bigger stores - it's making existing space work smarter. Great retail isn't about adding more products - it's about having a clear vision and delivering it consistently throughout the customer experience."

Chris Primett, Director at Malcolm Scott Consultants, agrees that hospitality and leisure are now central to commercial success. "Our advice to garden centres is simple: become a destination rather than a solution."

Technology enabling better retail

Technology is playing an equally important role, not as a replacement for great retail, but as an enabler of it. Retailers are increasingly exploring AI-powered merchandising, forecasting and analytics alongside connected commerce, workforce planning, security and operational systems that improve productivity whilst enhancing the customer experience.

Alex Ledsham, Managing Director of Chirp Protect, said: "Garden centres are becoming destination retail environments, with cafés, restaurants, farm shops and other concessions playing an increasingly important role in attracting visitors and encouraging them to spend longer in store.

"We're seeing growing demand for flexible, targeted security that allows retailers to protect the products and areas most at risk without compromising the shopping experience."

New opportunities are also emerging. Glee exhibitor ElectRoad believes EV charging is becoming another retail category in its own right, helping destination retailers generate additional revenue whilst increasing customer dwell time.

Electroad’s Richard Sepping said: "Garden centres are perfectly placed to become some of the UK's most attractive charging destinations. Rather than viewing EV charging simply as an amenity, retailers should see it as another way to attract customers, increase dwell time and create an additional revenue stream."

Matthew Mein, Event Director for Autumn Fair and Glee, said: "Both Autumn Fair and Glee have always brought together an outstanding mix of businesses dedicated to helping retailers grow, innovate and succeed. Bringing the two shows together this September creates an even more compelling opportunity, giving visitors access to an unrivalled breadth of expertise under one roof. Whether they're looking to streamline operations, embrace new technologies, enhance the customer experience or future-proof their business, retailers will find more ideas, more inspiration and more practical solutions than ever before. It's fantastic to see both Retail Solutions and Retail Experiences & Services continuing to grow so strongly, reflecting just how important these conversations have become across the retail sector."

Every year, Glee welcomes businesses at every stage of their journey. Some arrive as established names, whilst others are taking their first steps into the garden retail market, armed with little more than a handful of products, a small stand and plenty of ambition. Grass Gains was one of those businesses.

Making its Glee debut in 2022 with just three products and a modest stand, the company had a clear ambition: to introduce its fresh approach to lawn care to retailers, listen to the industry and begin building the relationships that would support its future growth.

Four years later, that ambition has become reality. Today, Grass Gains has evolved into one of the sector's recognised lawn care brands, with an expanded team, a significantly broader product portfolio and a growing presence across both retail and direct-to-consumer channels.

Humble beginnings, ambitious plans

Reflecting on those early days, Josef Farrow, Sales Director at Grass Gains, says the business was still finding its feet. He said: "When we first exhibited at Glee in 2022, Grass Gains was still very much in its early growth phase. We had a much smaller team, a much narrower product offering and were focused on establishing ourselves within the lawn care market.

"We launched with around three SKUs and a simple stand. Our aim was straightforward – to raise awareness, meet retailers face-to-face, gather feedback and start building relationships across the industry."

Those early conversations laid the foundations for the next stage of the business, helping Grass Gains build the relationships and market understanding that would support its rapid growth.

Growing the business

Since that first exhibition, Grass Gains has expanded its team, increased its retail footprint, secured listings with major retailers and invested heavily in its warehouse facilities, whilst simultaneously building a thriving direct-to-consumer business serving homeowners, keen gardeners, retailers and trade customers across the UK.

Innovation has also remained at the heart of the company's development. What began as a focused lawn care range has grown into a comprehensive portfolio covering year-round lawn maintenance, whilst the launch of Plant Gains has seen the business successfully move into plant care, helping gardeners overcome some of the nutrient challenges associated with peat-free compost.

The Glee effect

Whilst product development has driven much of Grass Gains' success, Josef believes the relationships forged through Glee have been equally important. He said: "Glee has been instrumental in helping us build relationships across the sector. Many of the conversations and introductions we've made at the exhibition have gone on to become valuable partnerships, retail opportunities and long-term business relationships.

"What’s more, Glee gives us a platform to showcase our latest products, meet key decision-makers and keep up to date with developments across the sector. It's also been a great place to strengthen relationships through organisations such as GIMA."

Looking ahead, Glee continues to play an important role in the company's growth strategy, providing the ideal opportunity to reconnect with customers, launch innovations and maintain a strong presence within the market. Josef added: "We continue to invest in Glee because it remains the leading event for the garden industry. It’s that simple”

Advice for the next generation

Asked what advice he would give to businesses considering exhibiting for the first time, Josef's answer is one born from experience.

"Go into the exhibition with clear objectives, have as many conversations as possible and focus on building relationships rather than chasing immediate sales. The long-term value comes from the connections you make. And don't be afraid to get buyers onto your stand. If you're passionate about your products, people will see that. Be patient too. Not every opportunity happens there and then, but the relationships you build can have a lasting impact on your business."

Grass Gains' story is a reminder that success at Glee isn't built over three days alone. It's created through the conversations that begin on the show floor and develop into long-term partnerships, helping ambitious businesses grow from promising start-ups into established names within the garden retail industry.

Find out more

Co-locating alongside Autumn Fair for two crossover days, Glee 2026 is set to create Europe's biggest buying moment, delivering access to an even broader audience of buyers, more opportunities to build valuable retail relationships and unrivalled business insight – before a dedicated third day focused exclusively on the garden retail sector.

Every September, Glee shines a spotlight on the brands, products and innovations that are set to shape the future of garden retail. It's where buyers come to discover what's next, uncover exciting new suppliers and find products that can set their stores apart.

One of this year's newcomers is Marvellous Mulch – a Norfolk-based business that's taken one of gardening's oldest products and given it a thoroughly modern makeover.

Ahead of the show's opening, we caught up with Emily Dyer, UK Sales Manager, to find out why Marvellous Mulch chose Glee for its industry debut.

Giving a gardening classic a fresh twist

"Straw mulch has always been a brilliant natural product," says Emily. "Gardeners love it because it helps retain moisture, suppress weeds and improve soil health. The problem is that it can also be messy, awkward to handle and difficult to spread. We wanted to solve those frustrations without losing everything that makes straw such an effective mulch."

Produced in Norfolk, Marvellous Mulch is made from carefully chopped, dust-extracted wheat straw that's enhanced with seaweed. Cleaner to use, easier to apply and offering impressive coverage, it's been designed with both gardeners and retailers in mind.

Why Glee?

For Emily, there was only one place to launch the brand: "If you're introducing something genuinely different to the garden retail market, Glee is where you need to be. It's the biggest buying event in the industry and the place buyers visit specifically to discover new products, new suppliers and fresh ideas. That's exactly why we're so excited to be exhibiting for the first time."

Breathing new life into an established category

Innovation isn't always about inventing something completely new. Sometimes it's about taking a product gardeners already trust and making it work even better. That's the thinking behind Marvellous Mulch.

By refining traditional straw through a specialist chopping and dust-extraction process, before enhancing it with seaweed, the team has created a mulch that's easier to spread, less messy to use and capable of covering up to eight times further than many conventional mulch products.

"We're really looking forward to seeing people's reactions," says Emily. "It's one of those products that makes sense as soon as you pick it up. Buyers can see the quality, feel the difference and immediately understand how it could appeal to their customers."

Responding to today's gardening trends

With more consumers embracing sustainable gardening practices, conserving water and looking after soil health have never been higher on the agenda.

Emily believes Marvellous Mulch is perfectly placed to meet that demand: "Gardeners want products that work harder whilst being kinder to the environment. Marvellous Mulch helps retain moisture, supports biodiversity and improves soil health, all whilst being made from natural, sustainably sourced materials. It ticks a lot of boxes for today's gardener."

See it for yourself at Glee

As first-time exhibitors, the Marvellous Mulch team are looking forward to introducing the brand to retailers from across the UK, building new partnerships and demonstrating why they believe there's room for fresh thinking within one of gardening's most established categories.

"We'd love buyers to come and have a chat, see the product for themselves and discover why we're so passionate about it," says Emily. "We're confident they'll leave with a completely different view of what straw mulch can be."

Visit the Marvellous Mulch team at Glee 2026 on stand 20K64 to experience the product first-hand through live demonstrations and discover why this exciting newcomer could become one of the show's standout success stories.

Every year, Glee welcomes a new generation of businesses hoping to make their mark on the garden retail industry. Some arrive with established reputations. Others launch brand new ideas, armed with little more than a handful of products, a modest stand and plenty of ambition.

For LBC Boots, then known as Leon Boots, that journey began at Glee in 2021. Launching into the garden retail market with just over 10 products and a compact stand, the business had a clear mission – to bring a fresh perspective to gardening footwear by combining comfort, practicality and modern design.

Five years later, the business has grown into an established name within the sector. Its Glee stand has expanded, its retailer network continues to grow, and its product development is now firmly focused on lightweight, sustainable footwear with clear points of difference for both retailers and consumers.

According to Charlie Burgess, that growth has been built one conversation at a time. "Glee gave us the opportunity to get our products in front of the right people from day one," he explains. "As a new brand, that visibility was invaluable. It allowed us to introduce ourselves to buyers, start conversations and begin building the relationships that have supported our growth ever since."

Growth built on relationships

Like many young businesses, LBC Boots didn't arrive expecting overnight success. Instead, the company focused on consistently returning to Glee, refining its product range and demonstrating how the brand was evolving year after year. That steady approach has paid dividends.

"We've become much more focused," says Charlie. "Everything we develop today centres around sustainability, ultralight design and creating products that genuinely stand out. It's no longer about offering lots of products. Instead, it's about offering the right products. Glee isn't just where we sell our products. It's where we learn and listen. The conversations we have with buyers, retailers and the wider industry have been invaluable in shaping how the brand has evolved."

Alongside that product evolution has come a growing customer base, with new garden centres and retailers continuing to come on board as awareness has increased. Importantly, many of those relationships can be traced back to conversations that first began on the Glee show floor.

More than just three days

For Charlie, Glee has become much more than an annual exhibition. "It's remained a consistent platform to showcase how the business has evolved," he says. "Every year we're able to reconnect with existing customers, introduce ourselves to new buyers and demonstrate what's new. Just as importantly, it's where we get honest feedback, understand what's changing in the market and leave with ideas that influence what we do next. That's incredibly valuable for a growing business."

That consistency has seen LBC Boots grow from a small launch stand into a much larger presence, reflecting the confidence the business continues to place in the event.

Advice for tomorrow's exhibitors

Having experienced that journey first-hand, Charlie has a reassuring message for businesses considering exhibiting for the first time.

"You don't need a huge stand," he says. "What matters is having a product with a clear point of difference, talking to as many buyers as possible and building relationships. Don't overcomplicate it – just get yourself out there."

It's advice that perfectly captures why Glee continues to play such an important role in bringing new brands into the garden retail market. For LBC Boots, that first step was a small stand at Glee in 2021. Five years on, the business stands as a reminder that success isn't measured by the size of your stand on day one, but by the relationships you build, the conversations you have and your willingness to keep listening, learning and evolving.

Every established brand starts somewhere. Whether you're launching a new product, entering the garden retail market for the first time or looking to accelerate your growth, Glee provides the platform to put your business in front of the buyers who matter most.

Co-locating alongside Autumn Fair for two crossover days, Glee creates Europe's biggest buying moment, delivering access to an even broader audience of buyers, more opportunities to build valuable retail relationships and unrivalled business insight – before a dedicated third day focused exclusively on the garden retail sector.

As Glee continues to champion innovation and newness across the garden retail sector, a growing number of brands are using the show as a springboard for long-term success. In this new series, we look back at exhibitors who debuted at Glee and have since gone on to achieve remarkable growth.

Halliesphere is a British design-led brand specialising in beautifully crafted ceramic arrangers, designed to elevate floral displays and make impactful arrangements accessible to both professionals and consumers alike. Having launched at Glee 2024, founder Jennifer Susan has since taken her business from concept to commercial success in little over a year – and still credits the show as a defining moment in that journey.

“Glee wasn’t just a trade show – it was the birth of my business”

For Jennifer, Glee 2024 marked far more than a first exhibition – it was the official launch of Halliesphere. “I gave it everything,” she explains. “I secured a government start-up loan, rebranded, built the website, and even worked with a voice coach just to make sure my voice would survive four days of pitching.”

Determined to stand out, Jennifer took an unconventional approach to her stand design. “People talk about ‘10x’ing your business but I was brand new, so I decided to ‘10x’ my product instead.” The result was a striking installation of oversized paper flowers arranged into a large-scale Halliesphere prop, a bold visual that quickly drew attention across the show floor.

That decision paid off. The stand was recognised by media on-site, earning “stand out” coverage, while Halliesphere was also shortlisted for the Best New Product Award, with Jennifer pitching on stage alongside established industry names less than 24 hours after launching the business. “It was surreal,” she says. “To be pitching next to brands I’d looked up to, when my company was barely a day old.”

Connections that changed the course of the business

Beyond the visibility, it was the conversations that proved most valuable. “The conversations at the NEC were gold,” Jennifer reflects. “I met buyers from Scotts of Stow, Lakeland and Shell on Earth – and secured stockists straight away.”

But just as importantly, Glee provided honest, real-time feedback from retailers. “Buyers loved the luxury ceramics and understood the price point, but they needed a more accessible entry product.”

Jennifer acted quickly. Within just 12 weeks of the show, she had sourced a UK manufacturer and launched a 100% recycled range, with wholesale prices starting from £7.

“That pivot changed everything,” she explains. “The recycled range became a gateway product. It sells incredibly well at shows and helps bring stockists into the wider collection, including the fine bone china.”

Glee also opened unexpected doors beyond retail. From securing a podcast appearance on-site which led to further media opportunities, to meeting industry figures who would later champion the brand, the ripple effect of those early connections continues to shape the business.

From first stand to national recognition

Since that debut at the NEC, Halliesphere has experienced a rapid and impressive trajectory. Highlights include a bespoke partnership with the Ashmolean Museum, where designs sold out ahead of a major exhibition, as well as a successful ‘artist in residence’ pop-up with John Lewis, delivering a £4,000 Mother’s Day week.

Media recognition has followed, with Jennifer named “Floral Mechanic of the Future” by The Flower Arranger, alongside further national coverage. At the same time, the brand has built a strong independent retail network, now working with more than 20 stockists across the UK. “They’re the heartbeat of the business,” Jennifer notes.

Behind the scenes, Halliesphere has also secured prestigious manufacturing credentials, producing its luxury ceramic range at Duchess China, the UK’s last remaining Victorian fine bone china factory. “To be sharing a production line with names like Fortnum & Mason and the Royal Estates is incredibly special,” she says. “It feels like real validation.”

Momentum building into 2026

Looking ahead, the growth shows no signs of slowing. Halliesphere is preparing for a nationwide rollout with Interflora, targeting more than 900 florists, alongside an expanding calendar of experiential retail, workshops and wellness events.

Jennifer's profile within both the floral and gift sectors continues to rise. In May, Halliesphere was featured in a four-page spread in Cotswold Life, shining a spotlight on the brand's unique approach to floral design and craftsmanship.

Further recognition has followed, with Jennifer recently named a finalist in the National Small Business Awards in the Innovation Award category. Public voting opens on 1st August, providing another opportunity for the industry and consumers alike to recognise the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit behind the Halliesphere brand.

The exhibition calendar for 2026 is also gathering pace. Jennifer will be a new exhibitor at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show, the Home Fragrance Show in London and the Rooted in History Flower Festival near Nottingham, all with dedicated trade stands, whilst continuing to run the business single-handedly.

Halliesphere will also have a major presence at Fleurex, the British floral industry's largest trade exhibition, organised by the British Florist Association. Alongside a trade stand, Jennifer will be showcasing the brand's signature giant flowers and delivering live demonstrations on stage throughout the event.

From prestigious trade shows and national media coverage to collaborations with organisations such as Horatio's Garden – Halliesphere's chosen charity of the year – the brand continues to build visibility, credibility and commercial momentum across multiple sectors. At the heart of it all remains the same ambition: to grow sustainably, creatively and with purpose.

Advice for future Glee exhibitors

For those considering exhibiting at Glee for the first time, Jennifer is clear on what matters most. “Don’t be afraid to be the face of your brand,” she says. “Buyers aren’t just looking for a product, they’re looking for a story and someone they can trust.”

Equally important is making the most of every interaction. “Listen to everyone who walks onto your stand as you never know where those conversations will lead. Some of my biggest opportunities came from unexpected places.”

And it’s not just about buyers. “Talking to other exhibitors was just as valuable. Many of them run their own shops and they can become stockists too. That’s exactly what happened for me.”

For Jennifer, Glee was more than a launch platform, it was a catalyst. “I walked in with an idea and walked out with a business.”

As Glee 2026 approaches, we’re catching up with some of the brands set to make their mark at this year’s show. Aurora Paws is an award-winning British eco dog toy brand and one of the newest names within the pet category at Glee.

A brand born from questioning the norm

Founded by Martin and Richard Livesley, Aurora Paws is built on a simple belief: dogs deserve better. The idea came from a moment of realisation familiar to many dog owners. Like so many, the pair had been buying toys without really questioning what they were made from, until they began to notice how quickly they broke, the mess they created, and the reliance on plastic, synthetic stuffing and unknown materials. As Martin puts it, it was a real “light bulb moment”. If these were products their own dogs were chewing and interacting with daily, were they really good enough?

From that point, the mission became clear: to create toys they would feel completely confident giving to their own dogs – safer, more durable, and far more considered in their environmental impact. Aurora Paws was born out of that mindset, combining care for their pets with a wider responsibility to the planet, and, as Martin says, “creating something we’d genuinely trust with our own dogs.”

Design-led, story-driven products

Every Aurora Paws toy is designed in-house, with each product rooted in a story. Drawing inspiration from British culture, seasonal moments and personal memories, the range is intentionally characterful. Many designs carry deeper meaning, including pieces named after loved ones. This storytelling approach adds a layer of emotional connection, transforming each toy from a simple product into something more thoughtful and personal – “you’re not just buying a toy, you’re buying something with meaning” – an important detail that increasingly resonates with today’s consumer.

Sustainability in action – and what to expect at Glee

Sustainability sits at the heart of Aurora Paws, shaping not only how the products are made, but how they are used. The entire range is crafted from 100% natural, compostable materials including suede, jute, coconut husk and cotton fibres, many of which are by-products of other industries, helping to reduce waste without compromising on durability. As Martin explains, the aim was always to “move away from plastic and synthetic fillers entirely”, creating toys that are both safer for dogs and kinder to the planet.

That same thinking extends to how the toys function. Rather than being designed as indestructible products, they are created to work with a dog’s natural instincts, encouraging chewing, mouthing and enrichment in a way that supports wellbeing. “It’s about understanding how dogs actually play,” Martin notes, “and creating something that works with those behaviours, not against them.”

At Glee, Aurora Paws will showcase its growing collection of eco dog toys, alongside new developments including the upcoming British Heritage Collection. Each piece reflects the brand’s focus on thoughtful design, storytelling and responsible sourcing, something that continues to resonate strongly with today’s increasingly eco-conscious consumer.

With accolades already including the Agria Sustainable Exhibitor Award at Crufts 2026, Aurora Paws arrives at Glee with clear momentum, and a proposition that offers retailers something genuinely different within the pet category.

Why Glee – and why now

To date, Aurora Paws has built a strong foundation through independent pet boutiques, supported by organic growth via events such as Crufts, alongside social and direct engagement with customers. A small but growing number of garden centres and European stockists have also come on board. Glee 2026 marks a natural next step.

For the brand, the opportunity lies in connecting with a broader retail audience, particularly garden centres, where there is clear alignment with their core customer: predominantly female, spanning a wide age range, and increasingly eco-conscious in their purchasing decisions.

There is also a longer-term ambition to see the range sit within heritage and conservation-led retail environments such as the National Trust, RSPB and the Wildlife Trusts, spaces where sustainability and nature-led storytelling are already front of mind.

A considered approach to wholesale

Unlike many exhibitors, Aurora Paws is approaching Glee with a measured mindset.

This will be the brand’s first experience within a wholesale trade show environment, and success is not being defined purely by order volumes. Instead, the focus is on awareness, education and building the right relationships. As Martin explains, “it’s about finding the right partners – the ones who really share our ethos.”

The priority is to connect with retailers who share similar values around sustainability and wildlife, recognising that these partnerships will ultimately deliver the strongest long-term results.

Find out more

At the show, you’ll find the team on stand 19C68 within PAWE – the dedicated pet area at Glee.

Glee returns to the NEC Birmingham from 8th – 10th September, co-located with Autumn Fair (6th – 9th September) to create the largest and most valuable buying event of the season.
What happens when a 126-year-old family business meets fruity dog chews, sweet potatoes and one of garden retail's fastest-growing lifestyle categories? Glee 2026 visitors are about to find out.

As Europe's biggest buying moment, Glee 2026 (8th – 10th September, NEC Birmingham) is the place to discover something new. New brands, new products, new suppliers and sometimes established businesses entering the garden retail market for the very first time.

This September, one such name is Donald Cooke Ltd, which will be making its Glee debut with Garden Bites, its colourful range of vegetable-based dog treats.

Founded in 1900 and still wholly owned by direct descendants of the founding family, Donald Cooke Ltd may be a new name to many garden retailers, but it brings more than a century of business experience and a strong track record within the independent pet sector.

Ahead of the show, we caught up with Andrew Cooke from the Donald Cooke team to discover why now is the right time to bring Garden Bites to garden retail.

126 years of family business

Donald Cooke Ltd has several strings to its bow, including its own four retail stores in South Yorkshire and a growing portfolio of pet products. That retail experience plays an important role in how the business operates, as Andrew explains: "We're a family business first and foremost, and I think the old saying 'small enough to care, big enough to cope' fits us perfectly. We have four retail stores in South Yorkshire, and the products we distribute have to prove themselves in our own stores first. That gives us a real understanding of what works at retail level."

One brand already proving its appeal is Garden Bites. Born from a desire to offer a more wholesome alternative to traditional dog treats, Garden Bites was developed in response to the growing focus on pet wellness and demand for vegan-friendly alternatives. The brand launched in the UK in September 2025 and has since enjoyed strong success within the independent pet sector. Now, Donald Cooke Ltd is ready to introduce it to a new audience.

Why Glee, and why now?

For the team, the evolution of the modern garden centre makes Glee a natural next step.

"Garden centres have become lifestyle destinations. Customers aren't simply visiting to buy plants anymore. They're shopping for their homes, their gardens, gifts, food and, increasingly, their pets.

"We're already well known within the pet world, but we've had very little exposure within garden retail. That's what makes Glee so exciting for us. It's an opportunity to meet a completely new group of buyers and show them what Garden Bites could bring to their stores."

With pet owners increasingly treating their animals as members of the family, the team believes the crossover between garden retail and the pet category has never been stronger. Andrew said: "Pet humanisation and the growth of one-stop lifestyle shopping are two trends we see as hugely relevant to garden centres. For us, they're both very good reasons to have a quality, fun pet treat range in store."

Veggie Buddies, Fruity Friends and treats with personality

So, what exactly makes Garden Bites different? At the heart of every chew is at least 55% sweet potato, giving the range a distinctive point of difference within the vegetarian dog treat market. The treats are 100% gluten-free and enriched with natural mint oil, whilst their shapes are designed to help massage gums and clean teeth as dogs chew. But health credentials are only part of the story. Garden Bites has been designed to be fun.

The team is particularly excited to showcase its Fruity Friends and Twizzlers at Glee, with Fruity Friends shaped like familiar fruits including bananas, peaches and pears.

"These ranges really capture the fun, vibrant spirit of Garden Bites. They're colourful, eye-catching and look fantastic on the shelf. They prove that healthier pet treats certainly don't have to look boring."

Their garden-inspired appearance could also create some interesting merchandising opportunities for retailers, giving buyers scope to position the products within dedicated pet areas or explore more creative cross-merchandising opportunities around the wider store.

Tried, tested and ready for garden retail

For Donald Cooke Ltd, its first Glee is about more than simply showcasing a product. It's an opportunity to build relationships with a sector it believes is a natural fit for the business. Adrew added: "As first-time exhibitors, we want to build awareness, meet new people and introduce Donald Cooke Ltd as a straightforward, supportive partner for retailers looking to grow their pet category.

"We'd love to meet garden centres, independent retailers and national buyers who want to bring something colourful, different and commercially exciting to their pet offering."

Buyers visiting the stand will be able to explore the full Garden Bites collection and discover a range of purchasing options designed to suit different retail environments, including pre-packs, bulk boxes and loose pick-and-mix formats, alongside custom POS concepts.

Discover something new at Glee 2026

For buyers searching for newness this September, Donald Cooke Ltd offers an intriguing combination: more than a century of family business experience, proven retail knowledge and a young pet brand ready to make its mark on the garden centre market.

"We're brand new to the garden centre sector, so for us, everything about Glee is exciting. We're looking forward to meeting new faces, hearing from retailers and showing buyers just how much fun there can be in the pet treat category."

Visit Donald Cooke Ltd at Glee 2026 on stand 20H78 to discover Garden Bites, meet the team and find out whether Twizzlers, Fruity Friends and a little more colour could be the next addition to your pet category.

<nw:body>
Following a successful debut at Glee 2025, Roast HQ has confirmed its return to Glee 2026, where it will once again showcase its complete beverage solutions for garden centres and hospitality operators within the show's dedicated Food sector.

Exhibiting on stand 17C20, the company will highlight how garden centre cafés can elevate their hot and cold beverage offering through a combination of premium brands, industry expertise and tailored support. Visitors can also expect to see new product launches, emerging beverage trends and innovative solutions designed to help operators maximise customer satisfaction and commercial performance.

We caught up with Chris Thompson from Roast HQ to find out why the company is returning to Glee and what visitors can expect from this year's showcase.

Building on a successful Glee debut

Having experienced first-hand the opportunities created by Glee's growing food and hospitality offering, returning for 2026 was an easy decision. "Following a highly successful debut in 2025, we didn't hesitate to sign up for 2026," said Chris. "Glee offers Roast HQ the perfect platform to showcase our range of hot and cold beverage solutions to the garden retail sector."

The decision also reflects the growing importance of catering within modern garden centres. As cafés and hospitality operations continue to evolve into key revenue drivers, operators are increasingly seeking ways to enhance their food and drink offer, differentiate themselves from the competition and encourage longer customer dwell times. According to Chris, delivering a premium beverage experience is becoming a key part of that strategy, creating significant opportunities for garden centres to elevate their hospitality credentials and drive additional spend.

Raising the bar on beverage quality

Today's garden centre cafés are competing not only with neighbouring attractions but also specialist coffee shops, branded chains and wider hospitality destinations. "Good is no longer good enough," explained Chris. "Consumers are engaged and aware of what they are drinking and demand the highest levels of quality and service."

To help operators meet these expectations, Roast HQ works closely with customers to develop tailored beverage programmes, combining premium products with seasonal menu development, equipment expertise, training, marketing support and ongoing service.

This partnership approach also ensures operators remain at the forefront of evolving beverage trends. Whether capitalising on the growth of iced coffee, introducing wellness-led drinks such as matcha, or creating innovative seasonal specials, Roast HQ helps customers keep their offer fresh, relevant and commercially successful.

More than just coffee

While coffee remains at the heart of the business, Roast HQ's proposition is built around delivering complete beverage solutions rather than simply supplying products.

Recognising that every operation is different, the company works closely with customers to specify the right equipment, support staff development and provide the ongoing service needed to deliver consistently high-quality beverages.

"One size doesn't fit all," said Chris. "Whether it's a traditional espresso machine or a bean-to-cup solution, we work closely with customers to identify the right equipment for their needs."

This consultative approach is underpinned by comprehensive training, servicing and technical support, helping operators consistently deliver high-quality beverages whilst maximising return on investment.

<nw:body>
As garden centre catering continues to evolve into one of the sector’s most significant commercial opportunities, Glee 2026 will once again bring together the suppliers, buyers and industry experts shaping the future of food service within garden retail.

Following a successful debut within Food @ Glee in 2025, The Full Range returns to Glee 2026 as part of the show’s expanding Food & Catering offering. Building on the connections made last year, the company is looking forward to introducing even more garden centre operators to its blend of procurement expertise, operational support and commercial insight.

Co‑Founder, Nicky Prentice, explains why Glee remains such an important platform for the business and how The Full Range is helping garden centres build more profitable, efficient and customer‑focused food operations.

Building on early success

“Returning to Glee reflects how much our work with garden centres has grown over the past few years,” says Nicky. “We now support more than 50 sites across the UK, and the sector has become a core part of our business.

“Exhibiting independently allows us to showcase the full breadth of what we do — from procurement support to operational benchmarking — and demonstrate the value we bring to operators looking to elevate their food offer. This next chapter is about raising our profile, building new partnerships and showing the industry how we help garden centres create more profitable, efficient and guest‑focused restaurants.”

Why Glee matters

With garden centre restaurants continuing to grow in importance, Glee brings together exactly the audience The Full Range is looking to support.

“Glee brings together the operators we work with every day — businesses investing in their catering operations and looking for ways to improve quality, consistency and commercial performance,” Nicky explains.

“For us, it’s an opportunity to have meaningful conversations with decision‑makers, understand the challenges they’re facing and demonstrate how our support can make a tangible difference to their bottom line. Garden centre restaurants have become major revenue drivers, they are innovative and increasingly focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. We’re here to help them achieve that in a commercially sustainable way.”

Responding to a changing market

As consumer expectations evolve, garden centre catering is changing rapidly. According to Nicky, operators are navigating three key trends: growing demand for higher‑quality food, pressure to simplify operations, and rising costs that make every purchasing decision more important than ever.

“We’re seeing customers expect restaurant‑quality food in garden centres, while operators are looking for menus that are easier to execute consistently with leaner teams,” says Nicky. “At the same time, rising labour and ingredient costs mean protecting margins has never been more important.

“The Full Range helps operators build menus that are commercially balanced, operationally achievable and aligned with what today’s customers want. We then ensure they’re buying the right products at the right price to maximise profitability whilst maintaining quality.”

Where procurement meets commercial insight

The Full Range combines procurement expertise with practical operational support, ensuring operators have confidence in both their supply chain and their commercial decisions.

“Most businesses offer either procurement support or operational insight,” says Nicky. “We complement both. We work closely with operators to ensure the menus they want to deliver are backed by a supply chain that is competitive, reliable and commercially sound.

“Our role is to give operators confidence that the ingredients behind their dishes are cost‑effective, consistently available and aligned with their commercial objectives. By strengthening the procurement side of the business, we help operators protect margins, simplify purchasing and give their teams more time to focus on delivering great food and memorable customer experiences.”

What visitors can expect

Visitors to The Full Range’s stand will discover practical solutions that help garden centre restaurants strengthen commercial performance without compromising quality.

“We’ll be demonstrating how we help operators improve cost control, streamline purchasing and buy more competitively” says Nicky. “Visitors can learn more about our procurement support, cost analysis and benchmarking, supplier optimisation, and the operational insights that help businesses run more efficiently whilst reducing waste. We’ll also be sharing the latest foodservice and consumer trends shaping the future of garden centre catering.”

Helping garden centres thrive

For garden centres that have yet to discover The Full Range, Nicky has one clear message.

“We’re here to make your food operation more profitable, more efficient and more enjoyable for your customers. We don’t charge membership fees and we tailor our support to the size and style of every business.”

“Whether your objective is reducing food costs, streamlining procurement or gaining greater control over purchasing, we provide the expertise, insight and hands‑on support to help you achieve it. Our goal is simple: to help garden centres deliver outstanding food alongside strong commercial performance.”

See The Full Range in action at Glee

With more than 30 years of experience turning some of the world’s best-loved pop culture properties into innovative licensed merchandise, Paladone WeCool is preparing to debut its creativity outdoors at Glee 2026.

We caught up with Juliette Rodgers, Commercial Marketing, to discover more about the business, its new LunaGlo solar lighting collection and what the team hopes to achieve from its first appearance at the show.

Tell us a little about Paladone WeCool

For over 30 years, Paladone WeCool has been transforming beloved pop culture properties into innovative licensed merchandise.

Today, the company offers a portfolio of more than 1,000 trend-led products, distributed across over 60 countries. Its extensive range spans gifts, lighting, drinkware, games, stationery, homeware and seasonal products, combining recognisable brands and characters with creative, commercially relevant design.

“For more than three decades, we have built our reputation on understanding what fans love and finding imaginative new ways to bring those brands into their everyday lives,” explained Juliette. “Quality and creativity remain central to everything we do, and we are excited to introduce Glee visitors to the latest evolution of our offer.”

Why is Glee 2026 the right platform for the business?

As a company with a strong heritage in gifting, Paladone WeCool sees significant potential within garden centres and destination garden retailers, particularly as they continue to expand their gift and outdoor living categories.

“The communication from the Glee team has been excellent, and its insight into the UK and international buyers attending gave us confidence that this was the right platform for our business,” said Juliette.

“With several exciting launches planned for early 2027, the timing is ideal for us to introduce LunaGlo to buyers and explore new opportunities within garden retail.”

What will you be launching at the show?

Taking centre stage will be LunaGlo, Paladone WeCool’s new collection of licensed, solar-powered outdoor lighting.

Drawing on the company’s established expertise in licensed indoor lighting, the range combines practical solar technology with character-led designs. The products have been created to help consumers personalise gardens, patios, balconies and other outdoor areas while continuing to enjoy these spaces after dark.

“LunaGlo feels like a natural evolution for Paladone WeCool,” Juliette explained. “We are taking our proven experience in pop culture lighting and applying it to the outdoor category, creating design-led products that allow consumers to build fun, nostalgic spaces around the characters and franchises they love.”

With accessible price points and broad family appeal, the collection also offers retailers an engaging new addition to their outdoor living ranges.

What makes the Paladone WeCool offer stand out?

For Juliette, the company’s ability to unite powerful licences, original product development and effective retail presentation is a key point of difference.

“What sets us apart is that we do not simply create high-quality, expertly designed products. We also consider how they will work within a busy retail environment and how we can help our customers attract attention and drive sales,” she said.

Paladone WeCool supports its ranges with dedicated display solutions, including bespoke free-standing display units designed to maximise shopfloor impact while making efficient use of retailers’ time and space.

The new LunaGlo Lantern FSDU has been created specifically with garden centres in mind, complementing the product range while delivering eye-catching in-store theatre.

“In a competitive retail environment where floorspace is at a premium, displays need to work hard,” Juliette added. “That means creating visual impact while keeping cost efficiency, practicality and sustainability front of mind.”

Which garden retail trends are influencing the range?

Paladone WeCool is responding to growing demand for products that combine strong visual appeal with convenience, versatility and more sustainable technology. Choosing solar power for LunaGlo supports those priorities while also giving consumers greater freedom over where and how the products are used.

“Solar lighting is not limited to traditional gardens and pathways,” Juliette explained. “It can brighten balconies, patios, decks and other outdoor spaces where wiring may be difficult or impractical.

“It offers environmental benefits, cost savings, safety and convenience. Combining those advantages with timeless, family-favourite characters gives the range an additional emotional appeal.”

What are you hoping to achieve at your first Glee?

Paladone WeCool’s priority will be introducing LunaGlo to the right UK and international buying teams, while establishing relationships across the garden retail sector.

“As our first time exhibiting at Glee, we are looking forward to meeting garden retailers, distributors and buying teams who are searching for something genuinely different for their outdoor ranges,” Juliette concluded.

“We also want to learn from the market. Glee will give us valuable insight into the needs of garden retailers and help us build the relationships that can support our continued growth within the sector.”
