Grow Your Own lockdown trend bears fruit for Evergreen Garden Care

 

Following the increase in gardening over lockdown and an explosion of ‘grow your own’ as a trend for budding sustainable gardeners, leading garden care brand Evergreen Garden Care (www.lovethegarden.com) has witnessed strong sales for its new Miracle Gro Performance Organics range this year.

 

With nearly three quarters (74.6%) of Brits having enjoyed gardening more than usual this summer and an increase in people wanting natural solutions to fast-track their plant growth, Evergreen Garden Care’s Miracle-Gro® Performance Organics range has answered the demand for growing plants twice as big, organically.

 

 

According to GfK data from garden centres and independent retailers, Performance Organics outperformed other organic plant foods to have the top selling straights in the category. The brand’s new Performance Organics All Purpose Concentrate Liquid, All Purpose Granules and Fruit & Veg Concentrated Liquid 1L all ranked alongside market leading products to put organic plant food on the map as an in-demand staple for growers. What’s more, new research revealing organic food to be favoured by nearly two thirds of us (61.3%) indicates that the demand is only set to grow as lockdown gardeners extend the trend post-pandemic.

 

 

To drive awareness of the burgeoning ‘grow your own’ trend and support eager organic growers from home, Evergreen Garden Care also teamed up with Charted Horticulturalist and TV Gardener, David Domoney, to provide advice and tips for growing organic.  The brand’s summer 2020 campaign also saw nearly 700 growers enter Evergreen Garden Care’s social media competition to champion organic growing and get people feeling more competitive about their plant growth.
