Coco Burn from Southern Trident is a unique new fuel for barbecues. It is made from recycled coconut shells.
This coconut shell BBQ charcoal is supplied as compacted briquette blocks that are extremely suitable for barbecues, providing several benefits to the barbecue owner. They produce more energy than standard wood charcoal, which in turn produces higher heat, and they are slow burning and long lasting with a much longer burn time. Coco Burn briquettes burn for at least three hours and are easy to light with a quick ignition time. Being dense, compacted blocks, they are 40% more efficient than firewood.
Coco Burn also solves two long-standing problems of grilling and basic barbecue cooking – it is smokeless and virtually ashless, eliminating these hassles from the cooking process.
The briquettes are 100% natural, which are, like all Southern Trident’s growing media products, made from the by-product/waste of the coconut industry. Wood charcoal, on the other hand, is made from and harvested from virgin wood. The coconut shells would otherwise go to waste if not recycled into new products, making Coco Burn highly environmentally responsible and a guaranteed renewable and sustainable energy source. This ensures that Coco Burn conforms to the company’s sustainable philosophy – Green Today, Greener Tomorrow.
Coco Burn is suitable for use on charcoal and gas/charcoal hybrid barbecues and is available in three sizes, 3kg, 5kg and 10kg.
Coco Burn joins the growing range of environmentally-responsible products, all sourced and created from recycled raw materials and by-products from other industries.
