Garden furniture and garden structure specialist, Zest 4 Leisure has launched a range of new products for the 2022 season at Glee, as well as showing its award-winning range from the 2020 Glee Gathering.
Zest’s Folding Garden Bar is ideally suited to the massive trend for outdoor entertaining, it simply unfolds and comes ready built for ultimate consumer ease and enjoyment. Multipurpose, it can double up as a potting table and it folds away easily for storage in winter.
To satisfy the increased consumer demand for Grow Your Own, Zest is also launching the Tall Vertical Herb Stand, which maximizes growing space on a small footprint and gives easy access to five separate troughs. Also, for the GYO market, the new Small Space Cold Frame will not only work as a standalone product but will also fit onto Zest’s best-selling Raised Herb Planter to create the added benefit of easy access and increased depth for planting.
Commenting on new product design and development, Managing Director, Steve Morgan (pictured above) said, “There has been a huge increase in the number of consumers wanting to enjoy their outdoor space whether for relaxation, entertaining and growing their own vegetables and decorative plants. It is more vital than ever to ensure that all these new consumers – as well as existing gardeners and garden leisure enthusiasts - can achieve their outdoor aspirations easily and quickly. Zest has always created attractive, comfortable, and cleverly designed products – and we have won many awards as a result. Now we are keen to build the convenience factor into our range, maximising choice and flexibility.”
Alongside the new products Zest 4 Leisure have unveiled significant levels of new developments in product design and manufacture, management systems and robust and sustainable supply. The company has made a £400,000-plus investment in product development facilities and personnel. Zest has appointed Neil Sholes into a new role as Head of Product Design and Innovation and has built an ‘Innovation Centre’ at its headquarters.
Neil’s remit for Zest is to spearhead a dedicated team researching and designing new product in line with consumer trends, driving product sustainability and further developing key concepts such as ‘easy build’.
The Innovation Centre is a state-of-the-art product design and development suite including research and concept development, the latest CAD design technology, a prototyping build area, a production studio, and a marketing zone. Meanwhile Zest has also recruited an initial four key staff in the UK and Eastern Europe with further appointments planned as it ramps up its commitment to supply and a new warehouse management system has also been installed, part of a digital implementation across the board to meet significantly increased demand.
