Hortiwool Garden Pads for the eco-conscious gardener
Stand 9K80

Hanging baskets are a simple way to add vibrant colour and greenery to your garden, but keeping them thriving can be a challenge. Regular watering, fluctuating temperatures, and limited soil depth often make baskets prone to drying out and nutrient loss. That’s where Hortiwool comes in.

Made from 100% British wool, Hortiwool Garden Pads can be cut to size and used as natural hanging basket liners. Wool is an incredible material for this purpose. It holds up to 30% of its weight in water and releases it slowly, keeping soil consistently moist and reducing the need for constant watering. This makes it easier to maintain healthy plants even during warmer weather.

Beyond moisture retention, wool provides excellent insulation, helping to stabilise soil temperatures. Roots are protected from the cold in early spring and kept cooler in the heat of summer, giving your plants a better growing environment all year round.

As the wool gradually breaks down, it enriches the soil with nitrogen and other essential nutrients, acting as a slow-release natural fertiliser that supports stronger growth and more vibrant plants. Unlike synthetic liners, Hortiwool is fully compostable meaning nothing goes to waste. At the end of its life, it can simply be added to your compost heap or soil to continue feeding your garden.

Lightweight, versatile, and completely chemical-free, Hortiwool Garden Pads make an ideal sustainable alternative to traditional basket liners. They not only help your hanging baskets flourish but also care for the planet, one flower at a time.
