Mighty good mats from Primeur
Stand 8D40-E41

British family business, Primeur, is delighted to showcase its market-leading range of doormats at Glee for the first time this year. The offering will include new options and next generation materials innovations such as Scrape n Sorb, Eco Flex and Coir Mats.

The Mighty Mats range features another first for Primeur in the form of a special collection produced under license from Bree Merryn, one of the most successful wildlife artists working in the UK.

Doormats are a hero category for Primeur, which sells over six million units annually, serving retailers that range from department stores and mail order giants to high street retailers and destination garden centres. It is the wider garden centre market that’s set to benefit from Primeur’s extended showcase at Glee, where it can discover the secret of how to make a household essential into a desirable home accessory and gift-worthy product.

The new Bree Merryn collection helps to elevate the humble doormat into a whole new category, from a thing of necessity to an object of beauty. Bree will be present on the Primeur stand from 10:00am -1:00pm on Wednesday 11th September, where she will be delighted to tell visitors more about her inspiration, artistic style and the power of working in partnership with a major supplier of matting in the UK.

Primeur Managing Director, Jenny Douthwaite, said: “One of the many great things about doormats is that pretty much every household needs at least one, meaning that high volume sales are virtually guaranteed for any retailer that holds a good selection in stock. With the new Bree Merryn design-edit we have also plugged a gap in the market for doormats that can enhance the home and are therefore great for gifting.

“We are also excited at the introduction of even more sustainable options in the doormat category, with the Eco Flex, Contours and Rubber Honeycomb designs all created from recycled materials. Our sustainable solutions are already very popular, fast-selling items and we expect this to be a strong growth area in seasons to come”.

Primeur’s dedicated team can create tailored offerings and flexible merchandise solutions to suit individual customers, with plenty of options to choose from. This means that retailers can order doormats as a cross-category with Primeur’s sustainable garden ranges, such as the award-winning Tierra Verde Planters, EZ Border garden edging and EcoWay stepping stones (minimum order £500).

You can see Primeur in Hall 8 Stand D40-E41.
