Durston Garden Products Ltd will be out in force to showcase their outstanding collection of growing media products and highlight the benefits of buying from an established, family-run UK business. With two generations of the Durstons family on stand (20C02) at Glee, retailers can be sure of the personal touch.
Visitors will not only be able to get up close and personal with Durstons’ incredible products this year but can also enjoy invaluable facetime with the Durstons team.
With the seventh generation of the family now involved in the business, Durstons demonstrates how it is successfully bringing together decades of experience with the skills of a new generation to secure an exciting future.
In March this year, the Somerset-based manufacturer announced that Sales Director Dan Durston’s daughter, Katie had completed a City & Guilds Apprenticeship whilst working within the company. She is the first apprentice ever employed and the seventh generation of the family to work at Durstons in its 150-year history, joining her father Dan, grandfather Steve and great uncle Chris Durston, who are all still directors of the family business.
On the stand at Glee this year will be fifth generation Chris Durston, who has been with the company since 1965 and Dan Durston, who celebrated his 25th anniversary earlier this year. Also representing the company on stand will be Nick Madgin, Ron Perry, Nick Bellett, Mark Rogers and Phillip Manns, along with Stephen Manns and Emma Grainger-Barbour.
Durstons are a proud British supplier that use locally-sourced material for their impressive range of composts, grow bags, top soil and soil conditioner. With their convenient UK location, Durstons offer great lead times, added flexibility and reliable service, helping retailers to react quickly to increases in demand.
Durstons a driving growth across the entire business to continue to provide the excellent levels of service retailers have come to expect from them. Recent investment in a new production line doubled capacity and further scaled up operations at their state-of-the-art facility.
Join them on the stand to discover more about the scale of this British manufacturer and their capability to meet demand from large conglomerates in the market.
