The Natural Plant Food Co are launching Soil Improver at GLEE, a 100% natural alternative to peat for garden use. It’s a fully plant-based option that supports soil fertility, improves structure and boosts moisture retention.
Soil Improver is a natural by-product of renewable energy production through AD. It is free from peat and synthetic chemicals and produced on their Cumbrian farm.
Alistair Wannop, owner says: “We know that many gardeners are looking for greener alternatives to peat and synthetic chemical products. And some countries have even made this a mandate.
“Gardeners are an important part of the fight against biodiversity decline. They cover about 400,000 hectares in the UK which is bigger than all our nature reserves.
“Our soil improver really is nature’s superpower – it’s sustainable, peat-free, wildlife-friendly, pet-friendly, vegan and created from organic materials.”
A little goes a long way with this premium product and it can be used in different ways – either by digging through topsoil, mixing with composts, adding to compost heaps, or using as a mulch.
The nutrient components of Soil Improver are Nitrogen (N) For Green Growth = 4.1, Phosphorous (P) For Robust Roots = 0.56 and Potassium (K) For Strong Stems = 9.
The Natural Plant Food Co Has five products in its range of natural plant foods and fertilisers that are all developed as a by-product of the anaerobic digestion process.
Soil Improver retails at £17.99 for 17 litres and £5.99 for a 1 Litre pouch. Come and delve your hands into some Soil Improver at Stand 7E47.
